Become a Patient
Working Together
My practice is a good fit for people dealing with complex, chronic, or hard-to-treat conditions — especially when other approaches haven't delivered the answers or relief you were looking for. Before scheduling, I ask all prospective patients to complete a brief intake questionnaire. This helps me understand your health history and confirm that what I offer matches what you need.

Establishing Care
A three-step process keeps things organized and ensures we're aligned before your first appointment.
To Begin With
After receiving your new patient request form, I'll reach out to confirm that we're a good fit and provide available appointment times.
Before Your Appointment
Once your appointment is confirmed, you'll receive an invitation to set up your account and complete intake and consent forms. Forms must be submitted at least 48 hours before your visit — incomplete forms will result in rescheduling.
Show Up for Your Visit
Arrive in comfortable clothing and bring any questions or particular health issues you'd like to explore.

What to Expect at Your First Appointment… and Beyond
Your first visit is 2 hours. We begin with a detailed health history — a thorough conversation about your current complaints, relevant background, and goals. From there, I conduct a physical assessment before moving into an initial FSM, EAV, and/or acupuncture treatment.
Depending on what comes up, I may recommend Chinese herbs or targeted supplements to support your care between sessions.
After your first visit: I generally recommend a series of three follow-up treatments spaced 1-2 weeks apart. This gives us enough data to evaluate how your body is responding and chart the most effective path forward.
Before Your Visit
A Few Things to Know
Hydrate. FSM works best when you're well-hydrated. Aim for 1–2 quarts of water in the two to three hours before your appointment. Do what you can.
Bring or send records. If you have recent imaging or lab work, email it ahead of your appointment.
Complete your paperwork early. Forms are sent by email — returning them before your visit keeps your appointment time focused on care.
Location and parking. My office is in the LorLin building at 200 NE 20th Ave, Suite 120, Portland OR 97232. There is a dedicated parking lot for patients.
